Golf with friends is the best kind of bonding. There's nothing like being out in the open air, hearing the wind blow through the beautiful old trees lining the well-groomed fairways, and refusing to grant your compadres mulligans. Today's Groupon gets you one round of golf on the championship course, plus a GPS golf cart, at Durham Lakes Golf & Country Club for just $30 (normally $51–$61 before tax; note that the course offers a discount for seniors). Buy a few Groupons and make it a foursome.
Designed by course architect and archery champion Scott Pool, the serene and challenging course at Durham Lakes features Tifway 419 Bermudagrass tees and fairways and L-93 Bentgrass putting greens. The perfectly manicured grounds wind their way through a gauntlet of majestic pines, and past gently flowing streams, serene lakes, and tricky wetlands. You won't find any poison oak, Bolivian screaming shrubs, or that one tree from Harry Potter that punches cars. Four sets of tees accommodate different levels of experience and skill for a constantly challenging and rewarding game. The satisfaction of a well-played hole will be amplified by the sadistic enjoyment you get from your partner's three-shot spectacle in the woodsy rough.
Durham Lakes' custom golf carts are equipped with an easy-to-use global-positioning system that helps you navigate the course and provides handy measurements to key points along each hole. Redeem your Groupon anytime on Monday–Friday, and after 12 p.m. on the weekends. Durham Lakes Golf & Country Club is conveniently located off I-85, so long drives on this beautiful course are just a short drive away.

About Durham Lakes Golf & Country Club
As the centerpiece to an upstart residential community, Durham Lakes Golf & Country Club presents golfers with an 18-hole, par 72 course that eclipses 7,000 yards from the back tees. Course architect Scott Pool incorporated the area's natural features into the course, as evidenced by its lakes, streams, and wetlands, as well as the tall fescue grass and southern pines that surround many holes. Away from the course, the country club boasts a long list of luxurious amenities. Members can cool off at the walk-in pool or hit the tennis or basketball courts to appreciate a truly finely-woven net.
