Craniosacral Therapy combines a gentle touch with deep listening to bring the central nervous into neutral. The result is deep peace.
Craniosacral therapy is a non-invasive, very gentle touch treatment.
Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle, non-manipulative treatment that helps take the central nervous system out of fight or flight and allows it to settle into a para-sympathetic state also referred to as rest and restore. When the body is in a rest and restore mode cortisol and other stress homes levels come down. What replaces those hormones are the relaxation hormones of dopamine and oxytocin. Physically you may notice your breath becoming deeper and more even, your heart rate may drop a bit and you may drift off into a restful twilight sleep. All of these changes are your body's innate knowledge working to preserve your long-term health and well-being
Craniosacral Therapy could be for you if you:
Struggle with headaches and TMJ disorder
Neck and back pain
Chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia
Have trouble sleeping and focusing
Post-traumatic stress disorder.
Anxiety
How is it done?
Craniosacral Therapy is done in the office using all of the equipment used in a traditional massage. You, the client, stay fully dressed and are made comfortable on the massage table. Using very gentle touch I work along different paths of the body to bring your system into a very deep state of relaxation. When you are present in your body every system can tune into the innate health and well-being.
The sessions typically last for an hour. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You may experience the effects of the treatment for several hours or several days following your treatment.
I have been a New York State Licensed massage therapist for 10 years and a Biodynamic Craniosacral therapist since 2020. I look forward to introducing you to this restful, restorative, healing practice.

About Equilibrium Healing Arts
I am a Licensed massage therapist and a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. I came into the profession as a result of my search for physical, mental, and emotional healing. For me, it was a combination of massage and craniosacral therapy that allowed me to move out of physical and emotional pain and into a place where I felt whole and empowered. The benefits of touch therapy cannot be underestimated. We live in a culture where self-care and slowing down are undervalued. To be our best it is essential to take the time to be in touch with our inner wisdom. Craniosacral therapy offers a path to that end.
