My husband and I had gone out to a concert the night before, so I do not think he got all out of it he wanted. No fault of the academy. He plans on going back, but having a good nights rest before. Everyone at the facility was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made it a great experience. If you like to fly, you should definitely go experience this outing.

Flying is a lot like having a staring contest: even with utter concentration, you'll never be better at it than birds. Go toe-to-beak with our winged companions with today's Groupon: for $74, you get a one-hour flying lesson (a $149 value) at Falcon Aviation Academy, with three participating locations in Newnan, Atlanta, and Athens. This deal is not available at the Peachtree City Airport location.

The Falcon Aviation Academy offers expert training to both recreational and airline-aspiring pilots, utilizing a fleet of more than 50 fully winged airplanes. The introductory flight lesson gives amateur skysplorers their first experience fluffing air pillows, introducing flight rules and regulations, and basic maneuvers such as takeoffs, mid-flight turns, seat buckling with upside-down hands, and landings. There's no ground lesson before students zip off in their sleek, two-seat Diamond DA-20 for the hour-long session; the whole course takes place with one of the Academy's experienced instructors up in the clouds.
