On the ground floor of Fit Gym University City, exercisers find all the strength-training equipment they need to either bulk up or build long, lean physiques. The huge selection of weights includes dead-lift platforms, leg press machines, and dumbbells weighing up to 250 lbs or 1,000 quarter pounders. Upstairs, the focus is more cardio-inclined. Treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, and other sweat-inducing machines line the walls, and group fitness classes such as Zumba and martial arts keep heart rates high. The gym's fitness staff also offers one-on-one attention during personal training sessions.
