About Focus on Fitness
Louise Boland is a true self-starter. With little more than a love of running and a dream of helping folks get fit, she started teaching fitness classes in local church basements in 1981. It was only a matter of time before her client base grew too large for the fellowship halls. She opened her first studio in 1987, and hasn't stopped since.
Today, Focus on Fitness hosts upwards of 60 classes per week, including indoor cycling, group powerlifting classes, and hot yoga in a studio heated to 90 degrees with humidity levels of up to 60%. The rest of the 15,000-square-foot facility is dedicated to cardio equipment with built-in TVs, a matted floor space for core work, and more than 1,000 pounds of free weights.
