With a talented team of first aid- and CPR-trained water tamers, FINS instructs beginning bobbers and fledgling freestylers of every age to traverse the water with ease and efficiency. Both locations house two heated pools for pleasant paddling, as well as enclosed viewing rooms for parents to safely survey their budding breaststrokers. Four-to-one lessons are taught at a variety of levels, giving aquatics amateurs instruction in fundamental skills, and lessons for seasoned swimmers teach the craft of competitive swimming with advanced butterfly, breaststroke, and backstroke techniques. Younger pool pups master independent floating in three-to-one lessons while learning how to use full-arm extension and how to convince nearby mermaids that they do not exist.

FINS also offers Red-FINS lessons to help daunted toe-dippers with a fear of water. Those in need for a slow, soothing introduction in all things aqueous will receive expert assistance in gaining the confidence to enter the water and submerge themselves without assistance or anxiety. The staff is specially trained to work with water warriors with special needs, allowing students with Down syndrome, autism, and other disabilities to master pool proficiency. For other students with a desire for one-on-one instruction, choose to upgrade to an array of alternate lesson options.

For large-group swimming lessons, there will be a four-to-one student/teacher ratio for ages 30 months-adult and a six-to-one swimmer/teacher ratio for ages 6 months to 30 months with parent. For smaller-group swimming lessons, there will be a three-to-one student/teacher ratio. For Red-FINS and Angel-FINS swimming lessons there will be a two-to-one student/teacher ratio.

About FINS (Fun in Swimming)

Bill Goudeket can trace the roots of his business career back to his parents and a swimming coach. After failing beginning swimming three times as a child, the owner of FINS persevered thanks to his parents' encouragement, eventually swimming competitively at age 12, qualifying for the 1968 Olympic Trials five years later, and training under Hall of Fame coach Don Easterling in college. Taking inspiration from his coach, Goudeket decided to share his love of the sport and become a competitive swimming coach, eventually opening FINS to expand his reach to first-time swimmers as well. Along with his family and his teaching staff, Goudeket works with students of all skill levels and ages, instilling skills that can be applied to recreational swimming, competitive swimming, and sneaking into meetings of the dolphin Illuminati.
