CrossFit workouts blend strength training, cardio, gymnastics-themed moves, and resistance training
Like a prison break, a workout involves running, climbing, rowing a boat, and playing a quick game of racquetball. Break free from routine with this voucher.
Six mandatory foundation classes introduce newbies to CrossFit’s principles, ideology, equipment, and basic exercises. Upon completion, clients can proceed to regular CrossFit workouts. Classes run Monday–Friday from early morning to evening. Two workouts are held on Saturday mornings.
Dominic James, Get CrossFit’s owner, has more than 25 years of experience in competitions and health-club management. A CrossFit Level 1–certified coach, Dominic gets most of his motivation from the satisfaction of helping people achieve their fitness goals. To do this, he employs CrossFit’s philosophy of constantly varied training for functional fitness. Each workout, known as the Workout of the Day (WOD), blends exercises from across disciplines, including strength training, cardio, gymnastics, and resistance training. One day the workout might call for athletes to do handstand pushups and kettlebell swings, and the next day it might have them doing cycling, pull-ups, or dips on gymnastics rings. Each workout is designed to be universally scalable, meaning that, like Shaq’s pajamas, they can be tailored to fit anyone.
