Other air-cleaning technologies might only scour the area directly around the machine, but this whole-room purifier circulates all the air in a room by using an intense motor and radial blower. That air is pulled through two carbon prefilters, which trap odors and larger particles. Then two super-powerful True HEPA filters remove 99.97% of remaining airborne particles that are 0.3 microns or larger. Those might include dust and dust mites, pollen and pet dander, smoke, mold spores, and even bacteria.

The machine is already quiet and efficient, but it can be even more so: it can run on extra-quiet sleep mode for nighttime filtering or be set to an automatic dust-sensing mode. In auto mode, scanners evaluate the room’s dust levels every 30 seconds, and the machine self-adjusts its power accordingly.
