- For $10, you get entry for one person and one pet, plus a goody bag (a $25 value).
- For $15, you get entry for one person and one pet, plus a T-shirt and a goody bag (a $30 value).
- For $25, you get entry for two people and two pets, plus two T-shirts and two goody bags (a $60 value).
Runners and their four-legged companions trek through 5 kilometers of park path during the Ghost Runners 5K Dog Run, one of the only pet-friendly timed running events in Oklahoma. Entrants and their leashed hounds trot through Lake Hefner's Stars and Stripes Park, keeping hearts pumping as they pass scenery as tranquil as a pet rock's birthday party. Pup-centric booths open at noon, and the event features a slew of dog-friendly activities and events throughout the day, all orchestrated by volunteers who are best friends with man's best friend.
Pooch-and-pal activities go on until 5 p.m., at which point crowds can head home to let four-legged friends resume their refrigerator vigil. All money raised goes to the members of Heartland Weimaraner Rescue, who will use the funds for medical care and canine fostering programs.
