The Ice Age Trail is a 1,200-mile pathway winding through Wisconsin, highlighting the enduring effects of glacial activity on the state's terrain. As one of the eleven National Scenic Trails, it offers an iconic journey through diverse and expansive natural landscapes, drawing hikers and runners alike. The trail features a range of conditions, from well-groomed paths to challenging technical sections, with the terrain shifting abruptly due to its segmented nature.

The Whitewater Trail Challenge showcases a picturesque portion of the Ice Age Trail, offering an out-and-back route from Rice Lake near the town of Whitewater. This segment gives participants a glimpse of the trail's beauty, enticing them to further explore its many wonders.
