Summer Jam - DaBaby with Jack Harlow and Saweetie
- DaBaby: Born in 1991 in Cleveland, Ohio, this hip-hop and trap artist started off his music career by releasing mixtapes between 2014 and 2018. In 2019, he released his debut album Baby on Baby which peaked at number seven on the Billboard’s 200 list. He reached number one on the list in the same year with his second studio album called Kirk. He then repeated the success with his third album Blame It on Baby, released in 2020, that included his biggest hit to date called “Rockstar”.
- Jack Harlow: Though he’s a hip-hop artist, Jack Harlow grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. Luckily, his mom fed him a steady diet of hip-hop legends like OutKast, Eminem, and A Tribe Called Quest. In November 2017, he released his ten-song mixtape Gazebo, which featured his biggest song to date, “Dark Knight.” Heavily influenced by his hip-hop idol, Drake, Jack Harlow’s songs are an emotion-forward take on hip-hop, incorporating personal lyrics over bouncy trap beats.
- Saweetie: California native, this rapper, singer, and songwriter kicked off her career with her debut single “Icy Grl”, which earned an RIAA platinum certification. The song was featured on her first EP High Maintenance released in 2018, which was later followed by her second studio album Icy. The single “My Type” featured on the second EP, became Saweetie’s first top 40 hit on the Billboard’s Hot 100 list. In 2020, she was nominated in the New Artist category at People’s Choice Awards and in the Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the BET Awards.
