The third hole on Creek was the only hole in North Carolina to be included in Golf Course Home Magazine’s Dream Residential 18 Golf Holes. The 18th hole sits at the course’s most dramatic juncture on a slice of land surrounded by water on three sides and a tight approach on the other. Due to the success of the greens renovation to the Lake Course, the Creek Course will receive the same treatment during the summer of 2018 with a conversion to Mini-Verde Bermuda grass. Carolina Trace has hosted a plethora of events including the Women’s US Open Qualifier, Men’s Us Amateur Qualifier and the American Junior Golf Association Tour, along with dozens of other local golf outings.
