The 18-hole Kingswood Golf Course and the 9-hole Berksdale Golf Course make up the 27-hole Kingsdale Golf Complex in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Course architect Ed Ault originally laid out Kingswood in 1968 and then, working with Tom Clark, revised it in 1977. Many local players find Kingswood Golf Course to be the easiest of the five 18-hole layouts operated by the Bella Vista Property Owners Association. It s easy to see why it has long been one of the most popular of the Bella Vista courses and why it is a favorite choice for social outings and tournaments. With its relatively short length, its generous fairways and mostly flat lies in the fairways, Kingswood Golf Course is manageable for players of all skill levels, even beginners. Five sets of tee markers ensure that everyone can take it on from a comfortable distance. Kingswood Golf Course can be played from as short as 3,922 yards and as long as 6,263 yards. The layout regularly earns plaudits for its mix of wide open, spacious holes and its fewer tighter, tree-lined tests. Kingswood Golf Course doesn t have a lot of trouble to trip golfers up. The bunkers are not intimidating. Water, in the form of ponds and creeks, enters the fray on six holes. Kingswood Golf Course s receptive greens roll true but generally rather slowly. If fast greens cause you trepidation, these will inspire you to stroke putts confidently. Kingswood Golf Course is a walkable course that is often busy. Though the stated pace of play is four hours per round, much depends upon how busy the course is on any given day. As is the case at all of the other Bella Vista layouts, Kingswood Golf Course permits fivesomes to go out after 11 a.m. each day. Practice facilities include a putting green and a chipping area. There is no driving range. The clubhouse features a golf shop and a restaurant.
