Without a guide, the forest can seem like a frightening place, full of unmarked trails, nefarious animals, and pushy dryads selling deciduous timeshares. Avoid woodland woes with today's Groupon: for $33, you get a choice of Rocky Mountain National Park tours from Green Jeep Tours (a $65 value). Choose one of the following tours: The Falls, Bear Lake, The Ranch, or Holzwarth Ranch.

Green Jeep Tours' steely steeds gallivant through Rocky Mountain National Park, unveiling sweeping panoramas and a wide array of wildlife. Friendly and knowledgeable guides introduce a Gaia's yearbook of elk, big horn sheep, and deer on The Falls tour, which cruises a dirt path past nearly 30 waterfalls and reaches an elevation of more than 12,000 feet. The Ranch Tour invites fresh-air-seekers onto a 1,000-acre, 19th-century homestead and occasionally allows guests the opportunity to snap shots of bears as discreetly as Goldilocks' private investigator. Bask in the beauty of the Bear Lake tour, an open-air jaunt through aromatic meadows before hiking a mile around glistening Bear Lake, where tourgoers can catch a glimpse of the infamous bear-shark. Holzwarth Ranch is a historic dude ranch built in the 1920s that can only be accessed by crossing the Continental Divide and setting a Slinky off the side of the mountain.

Each sightseeing expedition lasts about 3–3.5 hours and includes admission to Rocky Mountain National Park. A brief hike in the area also breaks up each tour. Knowledgeable chaperones expound upon the park's history and fauna from a cozy, open-air Jeep Rubicon, which allows shutterbugs to capture the park's stunning vistas in comfort. Picnic lunches are available at an extra cost.

Green Jeep Tours

Spring brings many changes to Rocky Mountain National Park. As the snow melts, rivers start to churn faster, waterfalls spring back to life, and wildflowers blanket the hillsides. There’s also a better chance you’ll spot some local animals. Among them are the migratory birds and a peculiar four-wheeled creature: the bright green vehicle from Green Jeep Tours.

Green Jeep Tours' guides take groups on themed adventures through Rocky Mountain National Park, showcasing its wildlife and majestic panoramas. Their "Springtime in the Rockies" tour takes you past hillsides and steams just in time to see wildflowers blossom and migratory birds take flight. As the Jeep roams the park, experienced guides point out key sites. But groups don’t spend the entirety of these excursions inside the jeep; you can also exit the vehicle to take snap photos or hike to waterfalls.
