Kate Laird, the fitness coordinator at Greenboro Community Centre Association, can rattle off a long list of reasons why her gym is so great. There's the wide variety of classes, the talented teachers and trainers, and the top-of-the-line equipment, but all that's just the tip of the iceberg.
When it comes down to it, Laird will say that the gym's philosophy is what's most important. "We are a judgment-free zone and we strongly believe that if people aren't having fun, they won't come back," she says. So, she and the other trainers make their workouts entertaining, whether by incorporating energetic music into a yoga class or hilarious pratfalls into a tumbling class.
