Harrison Idaho Water Adventures equips tourists with all manner of marine vessels to plumb the freshwater majesty of Lake Coeur d’ Alene and its scenic tributaries. Visitors may opt to rent a duo of three-person waverunners to provide aquatic fun for recreationally minded love triangles. Captain either a 2008 Bayliner 195 or a 2008 Maxum 1800 SR3 powerboat, and appoint one of a possible seven co-passengers as your first mate, leaving the other six to haggle over who gets to commandeer the ship’s iPod–compatible radio. Mutinous shipmates can be towed behind the boat atop water skis, tubes, or congenial river otters (skiing and tubing equipment not included). Two Malibu kayaks provide naturalist couples with a nonmotorized boating alternative, ideal for scoping out Idaho wildlife, such as moose, beaver, deer, and amphibious potatoes.
Many of the Coast Guard-approved vessels come with life jackets, and all come with the necessary safety equipment. Like setting a VCR and training a VCR to fetch the remote, both waverunner and ski boat rentals require brief tutorials before renters can take to the lake. Waverunners can be operated by renters as young as 18, though the primary lessee must be 21 or older.
