Helping to fix posture, rounded shoulders, hips issues, low and upper back pain and much more

A 60-minute trigger point massage is a highly focused, therapeutic session designed to alleviate chronic and acute muscle pain by treating specific, hyper-irritable spots within muscle tissue, known as trigger points or muscle knots.

The 60-minute duration allows us to conduct a thorough session, often including an initial assessment, targeted treatment, and time for post-treatment stretching or education.
Assessment and Identification: We will first discuss your symptoms and locate the active and latent trigger points through palpation—feeling for taut, tender bands or nodules in the muscle.
Targeted Pressure: The core technique involves applying sustained, concentrated pressure to the identified trigger points using fingers, knuckles, or elbows. This pressure is often described as intense or a "good pain," as it's therapeutic discomfort, not debilitating pain.
Duration: Pressure is typically held for 10 to 60 seconds or until the therapist feels the knot begin to release.
Technique Variation: The session may incorporate other modalities like:
Myofascial Release: Long, slow strokes to stretch the fascia (connective tissue) surrounding the muscles.
Deep Tissue Strokes: To address general muscle tightness in the surrounding areas.
Stretching: Gentle passive stretching of the treated muscles to restore their full length.
Duration Note: Keep in mind that for a 60-minute appointment, the hands-on therapy time is often closer to 50-55 minutes to account for consultation and dressing time.
This focused approach offers significant health benefits, especially for individuals dealing with persistent muscle discomfort.

Went in for “hotspot therapy” and had an amazing experience. Was having shoulder issues and I have seen nothing but benefits. Life Athletics, Joel specifically, was great with communication. Scheduling my appointment was so easy and he worked around my availability. He’s very knowledgeable and professional. I’m well on the my way to recovered! Highly recommend
