What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Loren Ogin Fitness offers fun and effective full-body cardio, muscle shaping, and agility workouts in the convenience of your Central Austin home, office, or community gym. I specialize in workouts tailored to a woman’s body : strength training that builds lean and feminine looking muscle without unnecessary bulk, and cardio that emphasizes fat loss and flexibility. Each circuit is only a few minutes long and includes a variety of exercises, so bodies(and clients!) do not get bored or unnaturally developed with the same repetitive movements. I use the best moves from disciplines as diverse as kettlebell training to ballet barre, traditional weight training to yoga, boxing to Pilates, various formats of HIIT ( High Intensity Interval Training) and more, for a different routine every session.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
I developed this approach to exercise while getting in the best shape of my life for my own wedding, after trying various classes and disciplines throughout my 20's and 30’s. I’ve created a system that's very effective for the hour spent, helps you feel great all week long, that is easy to stick with yet challenges and shapes the female body. In my experience, I found that many gyms and trainers have a narrow exercise philosophy and offer a very generalized practice for all clients. There’s a wealth of current information and research on exercise and wellness - I take advantage of it to keep my routines fresh and productive.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The positive overall life changes that an effective exercise routine has on clients - more confidence, energy, mental sharpness, inner peace and happiness, ability to handle daily stress and other mind/body benefits that are truly priceless. Knowing clients who come to me for body recomposition from fat to muscle are tightening and firming, losing dress sizes, and seeing muscle definition for the first time in some places, is also pretty cool. I love making people feel good - it beings me happiness and energy - so I love simply ‘doing’ my job.
What do you love most about your job?
Probably my favorite is seeing people who have never liked exercising - or never intentionally exercised before - enjoy actually sticking with a regular exercise routine and make enormous strides in their overall fitness and health. The mind/body effects that I talk about above are also so amazing. I also have been delighted to see physical progress like people finally losing stubborn fat and inches ( especially after years of dieting, running, cross fit, etc ), brides and others achieve lovely body transformations, women who start to like areas of their body they’ve disliked for life, fit pregnancies and more.
