What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? At Luminous You, our goal is to provide each and every one of our clients with individualized care. We accomplish this through attentively listening to our client’s needs during the initial consultation, and thoughtful reflection while writing each custom treatment plan. Our individualized approach continues throughout treatments as we respond to and alter the approach based on client needs and feedback as expressed during treatments. By listening to our client’s needs and applying our insight and expertise, we ensure maximum comfort and satisfaction throughout the entire experience. Our goal is to always provide our clients with the most natural results that fit their unique features and never look overdone. Our motto is, “Everyone will notice, but nobody will know!” In addition, we offer many services that are not available at any other medispa in the Twin Cities. Our CEO, Valery Argo, continues to research and attend regular conferences both domestically and internationally to stay up-to-date on the latest cosmetic advances. With over 25 years in the medical and cosmetic industry, she personally understands and demonstrates the organic relationship between aesthetics, health, beauty, and lifestyle.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? When Valery’s mom passed away at a very young age, she decided she wanted to be a doctor and educate people on their health. At 16, she enrolled in medical school, and by age 23, she was a fully licensed physician. As an OB-GYN surgeon, she realized she wanted to do more to help people before they needed surgery. Valery was one member of a small team that opened the first private clinic in Lipetsk, Russia to guide women on a more natural, holistic approach to pregnancy and delivery.

What do you love most about your job? I love helping my clients feel even more attractive and more confident by taking care of their imperfections through my treatments and my personalized self-care protocols. We recently teamed up with a bullying prevention program in the Twin Cities to help kids who suffer from acne. We also run a skin cancer prevention program at the clinic. I believe these programs not only help improve self-esteem, but maybe even save lives.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? I had few clients look in the mirror after a 15 minute treatment and say“Wow! I can’t believe it. I really do look 7 years younger!”
