Entering into its 85th anniversary season on March 15, the Martha Graham Dance Company continues to dazzle audiences with inventive choreography and breathtaking displays of graceful athleticism. The company's band of refined boogiers will open the season with pieces dreamt up by the late Martha Graham herself, as well as gravity-defying movements devised by choreographic icon Robert Wilson and denied by physics teachers worldwide. Each performance features at least two or more distinct pieces. A revival of Wilson's 1995 piece "Snow on the Mesa" will unfurl on March 18 and March 20, paying tribute to Martha Graham's life and highlighting natural, flowing movements and toes that know how to point politely.
