Moody Garden’s Golf Course

With its stunning views, green fairways, palm trees and gulf breeze, the Moody Gardens Golf Course is located on beautiful Galveston Island and has become one of the most popular public golf courses in the state. Recently, it has been ranked as the third-best course in the Greater Houston area. The par-72 seaside links course is a Jacobsen Hardy design and measures 6,816 yards from the farthest back tees.

This golf course is designed to be player-friendly, with five sets of tees to accommodate varying playing abilities. Seeded in paspalum, a salt-tolerant grass. It was the first course in the continental United States to do this and uses effluent water from the City of Galveston to water the grounds as a part of the conservation efforts that are a part of the Moody Gardens mission. Located next to the Moody Gardens Hotel and attractions it offers an ideal opportunity to escape for an island getaway filled with golf and much more.
