Nestled at the base of verdant foothills, Mountain Meadow Equestrian Center welcomes four-legged friends into a lush horse hotel and beginner, intermediate, and advanced students into an indoor arena and outdoor fields with mountain views. Designed for equine-enamored students aged 5 and older, beginners' classes emphasize handling the horse from the ground along with safety, grooming, and basic riding. Beginning students ride the same horse selected from a stock of experienced lesson horses and ponies each week to develop a trusting relationship and bond by trying on each other's shoes. Intermediate classes focus on trail riding over rough terrain, jumping, or dressage, or advanced classes delve into specialty riding skills that might include hunt-seat, jumper, or cross-country riding. The stables will provide necessary riding helmets and boots.
Mountain Meadow caters to vacationing horses and ponies with both pasture- and full-boarding quarters. Pasture guests get two wellbeing checks a day, blanketing and morning fly masks, and field shelter to avoid ruining their perms in the rain. Full boarders stretch out in 12'x12' stalls replete with dutch doors, top-quality hay and grain, and an on-call storyteller recasting heroic battle scenes from the horse's point of view. A 24-hour on-site manager watches over equines and welcomes their owners to visit 24/7. All stabled steeds are turned out daily and benefit from seven fields in which to stretch their legs and perform sun salutations.
