About National Flag Football
Missing the thrill of football (but not the injuries that accompany the traditionally tackle-fueled sport,) Francis Meram founded National Flag Football in 2002. Although the first leagues were aimed at adults, youth leagues for ages 4 through 14 were launched in 2006. Today, these leagues exist in over 130 cities and host 50,000 flag-belted boys and girls each year. This no-contact game allows kids to learn and participate in one of the most popular American sports while heavily reducing the chance of injury. Sportsmanship and teamwork are just two of the many skills gained on the field while playing in these programs.
