What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Neighborhood barre evokes a welcoming atmosphere and embraces all fitness levels. We are based off of the ‘Lotte Berk’ technique, but with a little twist, as our classes are fast paced, extremely dynamic, and deliver an interval cardio effect that is hard to find in most barre-based workouts.

Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Our workout constantly changes. In fact you may never do the exact same workout two times in a row. EVER! We incorporate a wide variety of quality exercises that will keep your muscles guessing and constantly changing with each class!

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
After taking class at the original Neighborhood barre studio in Knoxville and becoming quickly addicted, I knew teaching classes was something I wanted to do. After getting to first hand work with the creator of Neighborhood barre, Katy Richardson, I knew opening my own studio was the right choice!

What do you love most about your job?
I love the connections that are made with the clients and getting to be a part of helping people reach their fitness goals. Being able to daily see people’s bodies change and form improve is such a reward. It also doesn’t hurt that I get to work out and constantly continue to improve myself as well!
