What You'll Get
If they don't explore the water in babyhood, youngsters will be thoroughly unprepared for kindergarten's rigourous schedule of underwater astronaut training and sunken ship plundering. Give your tot a watery head start with today's Groupon: for $99, you get 10 individual Pediaswim lessons at the Oakville Swim Academy in Oakville (a $265.55 value).
The Oakville Swim Academy works with children ages 6 months to 3 years in ten 10-minute long private sessions, teaching survival swimming to keep young ones safe when near water. Your little fishlet will learn the float-swim-float process, how to float on his or her back, and breathing techniques—water skills to last a lifetime. A saltwater pool, heated to a comfortable 90 degrees, takes the shock out of the first plunge, and friendly, certified instructors with specialized infant and toddler experience guide your youthful swimmer, keeping a watchful eye lest visiting otters be tempted to blow raspberries on tiny tummies. Bring a swimsuit and call ahead to reserve session times, which take place Mondays through Fridays for two consecutive weeks

About The Swim Academy
Cold winter wind howls across Ontario, but students of The Swim Academy are keeping warm as they glide through the 90-degree waters of the center’s indoor pools. For more than a decade, the academy’s dedicated and skilled swim instructors have guided students of all ages through the crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, conducting classes within pool locations in fitness centers and resorts throughout the local area. The coaches keep class sizes small and offer programs for all levels of experience, from beginners to high-school athletes to advanced triathlon trainees. They even offer a course for infants, during which a certified Pedia Swim instructor leads tadpoles as young as 6 months through basic water skills. Additionally, the Academy offers lifesaving classes, during which experts teach aspiring lifeguards and swim coaches first-aid techniques, such as how to administer CPR to swimmers and water wings.
