- 250+ vintage racecars
- Pre-’70s models
- Proceeds go to Seattle Children's Hospital
Today's classically styled side deal gets you one of two options to watch the Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage Car Races:
$12 for a one-day adult ticket to the Sovren Vintage Races on Friday, July 2, Saturday, July 3, or Sunday, July 4 starting at 8:30 a.m. (a $25 value)
$20 for a three-day adult pass to all racing and practice runs (a $40 value)
The three-day festival of speedy automotive history is presented by the SOVREN guild of vintage-racecar enthusiasts. This festival is the 22nd-annual iteration of classic cars speeding past one another in a beautiful blur, with all proceeds going to the Seattle Children's Hospital.
This year, the spotlight is on Alfa Romeo automobiles, but there will be plenty of other fan favorites—such as Lotuses, vintage Shelby Cobras, and Austin-Healeys—among the 250 classic racecars, along with rarer specimens such as Ginettas and Elvas. Special events include the Large Bore Group Challenge and appearances by celebrity guests such as Augie Pabst and pace-car driver and veteran racer Dominic Dobson.
Unlike boring, meaty horses, racecars occasionally shoot flames, so take advantage of one of two deal options and watch as cars built with style zoom around the two-and-a-quarter-mile stretch. Some of the speedsters are valued at more than $1 million USD, so you'll be on the edge of someone else's seat as they reach up to 150 mph on the three-quarter-mile straightaway.
