Before it was tamed, the wild grape was the scourge of the valleys, mocking the looks of recently sheared sheep and running away with farmers' sons. Drink to the fruits of cultivation with today's Groupon: for $20, you get $40 worth of tapas, wine, imported desserts, and more at Pastíche a Wine Bar in Tacoma.

Blending light tapas with imported desserts, an array of wine, and dancing, Pastíche's confines conjure up Old-World sentiments to create relaxing and romantic evenings. Pleasing vino virtuosos, Pastíche pours an assortment of 17 red wines, including Hugger Mugger pinot noir from Walla Walla Valley, Washington ($8/glass), and the 2007 Baer Winery ursa red blend ($15/glass), which was born out of alchemists' failure to blend merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, malbec, and petit verdot into a brick of pure gold. Glass tilters can also choose from 10 white wines by the glass, including the Tucker Cellars muscat canelli ($6) or Delaporte sancerre ($9).

Glasses muscle for table space with plates carrying tapas treats such as the focaccia caprese, served hot with tomato, basil, mozzarella, and olives between thin focaccia slices ($9). Similarly sating the howls of stomachs searching for true love, the savory italian meatballs ($6) come slathered in slightly spicy marinara sauce ($6), and the cheese platter tempts with an assortment of seasonal fruits and vegetables and a selection of gourmet cheese, including artisanal choices such as Beecher's No Woman and Marco Polo ($10). Emigrating from France, Italy, and Candyland to settle on American plates, imported desserts include chocolate ganache cheesecake and lemon or mango ripieno ($5 each), which can be paired with a bevy of port wines ($6–$8/glass) or champagnes ($4–$12/glass).

In Pastíche's European-style atmosphere, guests dine at tables lit by candles before stepping onto the dance floor to explore newly discovered dance shoes slickened by the hair of Fred Astaire. Guests will also receive 10% off their first Friday night supper-club booking, though the Groupon is not valid toward supper-club dining.
