About Plumas Lake Golf & Country Club
Plumas Lake Golf & Country Club was established in 1926, but its course has undergone multiple facelifts since then. In 1960, it was expanded to 18 holes and re-designed by renowned architect Bob Baldock. Then, in 2006, larger putting greens were installed using premium turf.
All that work has retained the facility's reputation as one of Sacramento Valley's hidden gems, and has even caught the eye of Golf Digest, which has placed Plumas amongst the country's top courses on multiple occasions. Golfers, meanwhile, encounter the the course's beauty while attempting to overcome its challenges, including rows of mature oaks that guard the smallish greens and often demand answers to three riddles before allowing anyone to pass.
