About Silver Canyon Pottery
Once upon a time—the 1920s and 30s, to be exact—, the scenic Catalina Island was home to the famous Catalina Pottery and Tile company, which produced the colorful, decorative tiles that play such a role in the island's architecture. These days, Silver Canyon Pottery has taken up the mantle, located in the area of the old Catalina Pottery factory, and painstakingly restoring and maintaining the tile work featured throughout town. Of course, the artists also love to introduce visitors to the art of tile making, and invite guests into their studio for hands-on lessons.
