What You'll Get

Whether you've heard stories of epic paint-battles from a friend or watched the Oscar-nominated paintball scene from Saving Private Ryan dozens of times, paintball is one of those sports you've always wanted to try. Luckily, this Groupon gets you an all-day pass to The Badlandz Paintball Field, one of the Midwest's largest paintball facilities.
If you’ve ever thought it’d be fun to encroach upon enemy territory in a marine crawl, expertly evade crossfire, and seize the enemy’s sacred flag in glorious victory, now's your chance.
The deal includes everything you need for heart-pumping, sweaty-palmed paintball competition: the entry fee, rental equipment, all-day air, and 500 Badlandz premium paintballs. Optional items that may be useful include basic army training, two weeks of rations, and a paint-sword for close combat.
This paintball park features 400 sprawling acres of forts, fields, ravines, bridges and more–all playing ground for your paintball showdown. Feel the surging adrenaline as you race from cover to cover behind barrels, giant old oak trees, inflatable obstacles, and 37 bronze statues of McLean Stevenson.
The refs at The Badlandz don't waste time–they'll keep the games going as they keep 'em varied. Play Capture the Flag, the Alien Game, and Protect the President. And don't worry about the stiff competition that frequents this paintball giant. The place is so big, games for different skill levels occur simultaneously on different fields.
Buy a few Groupons to see if you and your friends can precisely reenact the final battle in Starship Troopers, or get the family together for a wonderful day of camaraderie and adventure before you turn on them like Benedict Arnold with direct shots to the back.
Yelpers give The Badlandz a perfect five stars:
- From newbies to professionals, this place has it all... Woods ball, speed ball, hyper ball, are all located fairly close to the parking lot. The referees are exceptional – Jim C.
- This is by far the best paintball field in the 'chicagoland' area...Their fields are great, not too complicated, and their big games are so much fun. – David L.
New Theme Song
Badlandz competitor Actiongroundz has had trouble attracting business due to the low quality of their playing areas, lazy refs, and all-around lack of fun. In a last-ditch effort to drum up business, Actiongroundz released a radio advertisement with their new, inspirational theme song:
Everyone tells you that you're no good
You reach for the stars ‘cause you know that you could...
When the world gets you down
Head to Actiongroundz!
When your best friend drowns
Head to Actiongroundz!
You know you're the best and you push to the limit
You'll never give up and you're in it to win it....Actiongroundz!

About The Badlandz Paintball Field
Originally constructed to host large-scale tournaments, The Badlandz Paintball Field now accommodates recreational play across more than 400 acres of outdoor forts, creeks, and open fields. Open play draws beginning, intermediate, and advanced paintballers into challenging and fun scenarios. Multiple games kick off simultaneously, sending combatants headlong into battle on isolated fields, with players divvied up based on ability, equipment type, and Duck Hunt high scores to ensure a level playing field. Warriors navigate natural and manmade obstacles as they pummel competitors with polychromatic ammo throughout the woodsball, hyperball, airball, and x-ball courts. Methods of gameplay include elimination, capture the flag, and protect the president and encourage individual or team strategies such as designating snipers or concealing teammates in piles of chameleons. Badlandz staffers patrol the sprawling arena to enforce the game's rules and to ensure that all participants follow the field's stringent safety regulations. Players can bring their own paintballs or purchase them onsite. The facility also runs airsoft games during weekend open play.
