Bowl Draping Workshop

A 2-hour long workshop. Students will learn how to cut, shape, and grind glass in order to design a bowl of their liking. During this class, students will learn about glass physics and kiln work including the elements of glass draping. Students will create a glass bowl. Projects must fire in the kiln overnight and can take up to two weeks for completion.

At The Glass Bar, run by the mother-daughter team of Sheryl and Jordan, students can learn how to create glass art through a variety of classes, from stained glass to glass fusing and dichroic jewelry. Sheryl and Jordan provide a welcoming, no-pressure experience by working one-on-one with students at their own pace until they are comfortable working on their own.
