Roughly 85% of New Year's resolutions never make it past the hypothetical phase, according to an unfinished study that was abandoned in early February. So this year, take care of your resolution before the New Year with today's deal: $39 for a 30-day trial membership to Boston Sports Clubs (a $225 value). Your membership is valid at any of the 25 locations in Boston, Greater Boston, and Rhode Island. Each club offers different amenities such as pools, saunas, basketball courts (also great for turtle races), juice bars, and babysitting services so explore your options before heading out.
Also included in your membership is a fitness orientation and assessment to help determine your current fitness level and future goals, and to see if you're fit for space travel. All facilities are governed by the same philosophy of improving life through fitness and exercise, both of which can affect sleep, temperament, and how many coconuts you can split with your hand in a minute. Boston Sports Clubs offer a variety of programs and services to help you start and achieve wellness goals. The XpressLine, for example, gets the blood and muscles of participants pumping in an intense 22-minute routine supervised by a trainer. Boston Sports Clubs also offer a multitude of classes; check the schedule of the gym nearest you for complete details.
This offer is good for new members and for making current members jealous of your discounted month. Past members that are ready to give Boston Sports Clubs another whirl are also welcome to take advantage of today's Groupon. The employees and trainers are sure to welcome you back with open bi's and tri's.
Boston Sports Clubs are scattered throughout the Boston area, but Yelpers give the Watertown and South End locations four stars. Two exercisers on Insider Pages give the Lexington location four stars:
- Picking a gym can be difficult. This one appealed to me because of their swimming pool, and also because the clientele tends to be older people trying to get into shape, not young Barbies parading around in shorts. The equipment is pretty good and a nice bonus is the TV screens built into most treadmills/cycles etc. – Teri B., Insider Pages
- By far, the best BSC that I've been too. I've been a member of the Fenway and Allston ones and have worked out in several others and they don't even compare. The Watertown BSC is huge and only a few years old. It has b-ball courts and a pool. – J L., Yelp
- This gym is so bright and open! It has great hours during the week 5 am-11 pm... wish Saturday opened earlier (8 am) Staff is helpful... pool is available and all the amenities that other gyms offer. – Kevin M., Yelp

Fortunately, Groupon's own staff of dietary taxonomists have compiled a list of the most logical and appropriate names for fit people. Take your pick from:
