What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
TuneBugz! stands out by giving every child a chance to flourish in the language of their culture and in Austin. We speak music as a first language. We offer large and small class sizes, easy parking, and flexible make-up schedules and our teachers nurture musical development with authenticity.

Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
CDs and songbooks go home with the family and musical development is further supported by accessing the family music zone. Here you’ll find activities, videos, coloring pages, and tons of early childhood research to support a deep understanding of the value of early childhood music and movement.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
As a longtime Austin musician, my three boys have been growing up with music at the center of our family. As a parent musician, I have seen firsthand how the TuneBugz! way of teaching music together builds intrinsically motivated lovers of music making. I want this for all families.

What do you love most about your job?
With early childhood music I get the opportunity to support a child, to be a life-long music maker, and make the greatest impact on the child’s whole life of well being. In additional to being just plain fun, my job lowers stress hormones and fuels all developmental areas of the brain. Best job ever.
