What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

At United Speech Therapy, home visits are available for you and your family. It provides oral motor exercises that address the child's production of sounds and words in order to help us understand what they are trying to say. Thus, decreasing any frustration due to communication. It also targets expansion of vocabulary to help the individual increase academically, socially, or in the general setting.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

My inspiration was my little brother who 13 years ago was diagnosed with Autism. I learned so much based on my personal and professional experience. It may me a well-rounded speech therapist. I want to be the advocate for you and your child.

What do you love most about your job?

I love the ability to work directly with families. I get to focus on your case versus rigorous documentation. I noticed I was spending more time on the phone because of insurance or billing and that's when I decided I needed to dedicate my time with the families. My purpose is to actually work the child and his/her family to directly make a difference.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

Common reactions I get from the customer is that I'm kind, helpful, and considerate. These features make me a great therapist maybe not a businesswoman, but I will take any day that I am a kind, helpful, and considerate therapist. The child, myself and the family enjoy attending speech therapy because therapy is focused on being effective, fun, and exciting.
