I would create multiple categories for "winning". If you look at the fastest time and then the average time for playing the game you'll see a large disparity. This addition would improve the game for many people. Thank you.

On Saturday, May 12, scavenger-hunt organizers of San Francisco Urban Beer Hunt will transform the city into a quest-laden underworld crawling with costumed scavengers. With cash prizes and bragging rights on the line, teams of two to six hunters puzzle out texted clues to find secret locations, to which they then dash like dogs to spilled hot-dog water. At various locations, crews must complete unique tasks. Moving on foot, city bus, or train, groups must stay together at all times, lest wanderers fall prey to competing gangs or become distracted by lurking shadow puppeteers.

An after-party at a local pub concludes the event with announcements of winners, prize distribution, and food and drink specials. Top finishers pocket $500, the second place team nets $100, and spectacular team costumes can snag up to $50. Exact details about the party will be texted mid-hunt. Moving on foot or city bus, teams can begin anywhere they choose within the game boundaries, using that freedom to gain an advantage when the first texts are sent at noon.

It was interesting, but the bars were very spread out and I saw other teams getting into cabs to get to the next stop. The final bar was much too small to fit everyone for the celebration. Probably wouldn't do it again.

The event started 1.5 hours late! We were very upset by this and close to driving home, an hour commute, when we finally recv'd the first text message. Other than this, we had a good time at the event. The tasks were fun & the clues & checkpoints were clear & well thought out.
