Vancouver Kiteboarding School ships students out to the open, wind-kissed waters of the Squamish Spit for a four-hour group course in kiteboarding, one of the fastest-growing sports. Expert instructors, trained to International Kiteboarding Organization standards, touch on the sport’s fundamentals during an introductory lecture, teaching participants how to determine weather conditions and how to practice water safety. Students then learn to rig, groom, and calm inflatable kites, focusing on safe technique from launch to triple-somersault landing.
