About Velocity Sports Performance

Coach Loren Seagrave taught Olympic athletes to run faster and first-round NFL draft picks to tackle stronger. His coaching technique, centered on improving speed, power, and agility, improved the careers of more than 50 professional athletes. As impressive as that number was, he wanted to reach even more students, and so, in 1999, he founded Velocity Sports Performance in Atlanta to reach out to student athletes. The enduring popularity of Coach Seagrave's methodologies grew from that single center into a nationally recognized franchise with over 60 training facilities throughout the continent, all dedicated to helping athletes reach tangible results.

Now, both adults and youngsters shatter personal records daily as they blaze down the long, Olympic–style tracks at the Tinley Park location's indoor facility. Spotted and encouraged by former college athletes turned trainers, students grunt through speed, power, and core drills in the strength-training area. Additionally, the staff deliberately sets up small classes that seldom exceed 10 participants, which enables them to keep an eye on each student and free weights that might bolt for the door.
