Myself and my wife took part in the tour on 5th June, with Maggie, who was a fantastic guide. We were picked up on the strip at the early hour of 0530 in order to reach the base and get set up for our check in at the Hoover Dam and out onto the Colrorado River for 0700. Both myself and my wife are total novices with kayaks, and must admit to some trepidation the night before the tour... had we bitten off more than we could chew?! We need not have worried! Maggie was a fantastic guide, patient when she was explaining basics to us, however always passionate when guiding us and showing us all the beauty of the river and hot springs. The tour lasted 7 hours, but at no time did we feel we were outwith the pace. There were numerous stops, including lunch, which was delicious... definitely try the cookie! Our tour was a small one, just us and another two people, both Canadian, who were very friendly and more experienced than us, and they helped put us at ease too..thanks! Can't recommend this tour highly enough. Thanks Maggie; your enthusiasm shines through and made the tour what it was, 5 🌟
