What an awesome experience! So thankful to have the opportunity to visit the Seavey Sterling location. Laura was our guide and she did an incredible job! Personable, kind, knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy what she was doing. Shared her time and knowledge as we went on a 5 mile ride. The dogs were vibrating with joy and excitement. You'll be helping train some of the best dogs in the world for the Iditarod. Our family has won 8 of the past 17 Iditarod races, and this is how we prepare the dogs in the fall season. You'll visit the kennel, see the dogs hitched, and then learn how we chose lead dogs, and train them for the 1000 mile Iditarod. This is a very hands on experience, maximum of 5 (6 with kids) per group.

- Take Sterling Highway to mile 79, just east of Sterling. Turn north on Montana street, follow it one mile straight and it ends in our yard.

- Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Parents of small children please make sure they're dressed appropriately. You'll be outside for 90 minutes, often at near freezing temperatures.

This was an experience of a lifetime. Although we came in off-season, Lara was the most professional and motivating Musher. From the time she met up with us, took us for a ride with the dogs and ended the tour with the puppies, we had a blast. We hope someday to see her as Iditarod champion. Such a great experience!
