We had a lovely morning taken by the super sweet Kolo (not sure if the spelling is correct) who was very fun and informative - told us the legend of the puff the magic dragon song originating on the north shore and made us all feel very relaxed and full of joy at the whole experience,
We were not the best at kayaking haha but we made our way with the help of Kolo and the rest of the tour group too and we got where we needed to be!
So fun to kayak out into the bay on to the beach where you can snorkel and see so many beautiful fish and even see some turtles swimming or sleeping!

Learn to snorkel in the clear blue Pacific amongst our abundant marine life. Or simply eat lunch or snacks, “talk story” and relax on the beach. Stop At: Hanalei Bay, , Hawaii Slip into Hanalei River from our own private dock. We will head down stream sharing history of the Hanalei river & getting comfortable in our kayaks before heading out into Hanalei Bay where we spend the majority of our time. There we check out our Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles (Honu) before heading over to the beach where we will land our kayaks and take everyone out snorkeling (45 mins). Guides will share modern day reef ecology and point out what to look for while snorkeling. After snorkeling we provide a full deli style lunch, sit, hang out, & answer any questions you may have about our island. Our guides are born and raised here and take pride in sharing their island knowledge. This tour has an 8am check in time and runs from 8:30am-1pm. We will fit you for snorkel gear (you are welcome to bring your own full set of gear or a full set will be provided(no mix & match of gear). Full face masks not permitted on tour. *Upon booking, an email request will be sent for a lunch selection.Duration: 5 hoursAdditional Information
- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Must be at least 5 years of age to participate
- Free & ample public parking available
- 1:1 adult to child ratio required for children under 12
- Participants are welcome to use their personal snorkel gear with the exception of full face snorkel masks. Full Face Snorkel Masks are not permitted on tour. All participants are required to use a traditional 2 piece snorkel and mask set.
- 225lbs weight limit per person (exception of up to 250lbs if 6' or taller)
- Pregnant travelers 28 weeks or less are welcome to participate
- All participants must be in good physical health, can paddle on their own, & get in/out of kayak on their own without assistance
- Water resistant dry bags
- Double/Tandem Kayaks Required (Single kayaks provided for odd numbered groups)
- Full Face Snorkel Mask NOT Permitted
- A 24 our cancellation is enforced for all reasons including illness or changes in physical ability

Had a wonderful kayak/snorkeling trip with Kolo. He was friendly and informative about the area. Kayaking was easy, on our own pace and we did not feel rushed at all. Saw many different types of fish while snorkeling. Lunch was exceptional for the 4 of us with every sandwich being perfect! A highlight was Kolo playing his ukulele and singing songs. I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent! Our guide was perfect. Knowledgeable, funny, careful in leading us to a great experience. Saw a turtle! Great lunch, even a ukelele concert under the trees!

The staff is friendly, professional and provided interesting information about sites along the river. We saw a good variety of fish and turtles.
