Jimmy from Jimmy's Dogs was super friendly with the best dogs ever. What an experience going out in the snow with him and his team.

My family and I were ready for this adventure and my kids were looking forward to this. Unfortunately, our rental car’s GPS told us to go down a road that was not for cars and we ended up getting stuck in the snow and had to wait for a tow truck to get us out. I had called the dog sledding company and told them our situation and that we were not going to make our appointment time at 3:15pm. The company had told us that if we got there before 5pm that we could still have our experience, which I appreciated their flexibility in accommodating us. The tow truck company did not come to help us until after 6pm. So we were unable to go to this dog sledding experience. I called the company and let them know that we were going to be unable to make it there by 5pm even though we were sitting with our car only 10 minutes driving distance away from where this experience was. I had asked for a credit or a partial refund and the company told me that they do not offer that. Although it is our fault that we got stuck in the snow, we did not predict that this was going to happen. I would have appreciated the company being a little more understanding that I just didn't cancel last minute and given me at least some money back. My 4 sons were really looking forward to this experience and were also upset that they could not go dog sledding. So just be careful of where you are driving in Alaska so that this doesn’t happen to you and you end up losing money.

Awesome experience!! So great to meet the dogs, learn about the Iditarod, and fun tour. Our tour guide was doing his first Iditarod this year and was prepping for it, super cool! Would definitely recommend!
