When you arrive at our store we’ll show you the best and most scenic places on the islands where you can kayak and explore. Also which areas offer the best snorkeling! One of our nice office assistants will go over a satellite map of Kailua or Kane'ohe Bay for your chosen kayak destination with your whole group present and show you how to safely navigate the waters. In that way we make sure, safety questions you might have can be answered immediately in a detailed manner.

For our tandem kayak rentals you MUST have a car. We provide straps and pads and can put kayaks onto practically any vehicle. Most vehicles from convertibles to SUVs can transport up to 3 kayaks or SUPs.

We offer a free, basic paddling lesson when you rent a boat with Sun and Salt Adventures and will show you the simple and easy technique of loading your kayaks on your vehicle.

- Kailua Bay has 3 islands (2 of which you may land on). These islands are home to the wedge-tailed shear waterbird and are designated bird sanctuaries. Ask us how these birds are so unique!

-On Mokunui Visit Queen's bath, deep nature made tide pool. Also there's great chance of seeing wild life such as turtles, fish and Hawaiian Monk Seal.

-Rentals must be returned by 4:30PM

-Kailua offshore islands not legal to land on Sundays, but another off shore island, Chinaman's Hat, is a great option to bring your kayak to (just 20 minutes up the coast.

- The offshore island of Mokoli'i is one of the most popular kayaking spots on the Oahu! If you hike to the top of the island you will get a wonderful breath taking view of the Ko'olau Mountains. Other popular spots are The Sandbar (sunken island) and Chinaman's Hat (offshore island). We offer dry bags, reef shoes and snorkel sets as optional rental equipment as well.
