An unforgettable experience! I was looking for a small group aurora tour with a focus on photography and this was exactly that, the affordability was a bonus. We ended up being the max of 6 people because one couple had to reschedule the previous day. To be honest booking the dog tour wasn't part of the plan, I was looking mainly for aurora tours but this was the one that was running on the day I had, and in the end I'm glad we got to meet the dogs and hear from Greg about his life in Alaska. It ended up being too cloudy to see the lights from the kennel so we went on a chase! We even saw a moose and baby in the road! We stopped in one location and saw faint lights, got some photos taken and then drove in search of somewhere darker. A show ended up starting while we were driving so we quickly pulled over near a lake and had a short yet amazing show and Lindsay took even more photos of us. She also helped me with my camera. After that most of the group wanted to go back and there was a bit of a break before the next activity was expected so we ended up all being dropped off close to 3 or 4 am. We learnt how to read the aurora data and take photos so I actually was able to see the lights myself from my accomodation about an hour later. And Lindsay was kind enough to email me the next day to follow up and see if I was able to see them and also give me some data about that night's Aurora which I saw myself and was able to photograph. Also it was nice to meet and connect with the other participants. Just to note, since we were 6 people, and due to the nature of the aurora, it was a little squishy in the car and there was a lot of driving and getting in and out and not everyone wanted to stay out as late. But that's how it goes with shared tours and Aurora chasing and Lindsay did try to do her best to accommodate everyone. We will get the photos Lindsay took within a week which will be the ultimate souvenir of this bucket list tour!

Loved walking the puppies at Sluice Box and Greg was interesting and informative. Nice to see how loved the dogs are. The weather on the day of our planned aurora viewing was unfavorable so Lindsay worked with us to reschedule, and when the weather that day wasn't good either, the team went aurora chasing instead of staying at Sluice Box. Lindsay even kept in contact with us to tell us when the viewing would be good the night after. We learned so much about life in Alaska from our driver Shannon. If you're not familiar with Fairbanks and where to go to see the aurora, it's best to go with a tour. And if you're going to pay for a tour, go with Wandering Alaska.
