Customers visit Total Med Solutions, in Dallas, in search of confidence. The clinic offers Botox, weight loss and hormone therapy to help patients feel better about their appearance, thanks to the professionalism of its helpful and supportive staff, all of whom are eager to work with patients to achieve results.
“We started our business to help people change our lives, to look younger, feel younger, look better, feel better,” George Thomson, owner of Total Med Solutions, notes. “What makes me most proud is our staff that really takes care of our patients. Despite its loyal customers and good reputation, Total Med Solutions faced a significant challenge. “Dallas Fort Worth is one of the most competitive markets in the country. One of the biggest challenges we face is acquiring new patients,” explains George.
With the Metroplex being home to numerous aesthetic service providers, standing out and attracting patients was no easy feat. Despite utilizing a variety of advertising channels—such as radio, print, TV, and magazines—George recognized the need for a more effective way to drive patient acquisition.
In order to maximize the number of people Total Med Solutions could serve, George turned to Groupon. “We decided to use Groupon because we were looking to acquire more patients. And Groupon is a great vehicle to bring more patients to us.”
Total Med Solutions launched their Groupon campaign with some significantly discounted deals, such as 60-80% off signature services, and 86% off an all-purpose gift certificate. Despite the slashed prices, the clinic managed to profit greatly from its partnership with Groupon. In George’s words, they have “sold literally tens of thousands of vouchers over the last 5 years and we've got over 20,000 new patients thanks to Groupon.”
