A Word from Game Galaxy Arcade

We have been open since November 2008.

We opened so we could reintroduce gamers to how games are supposed to be enjoyed: in an actual arcade environment.

Arcades were once social places to gather and play games. Our business is the only one left in the Middle Tennessee area that is dedicated to arcade machines. The owner has been gaming in various arcades across the country since 1980. Everyone involved in our business LOVES and PLAYS arcade games and pinball machines.

We do not have or use redemption (ticket) games in our business. If you would like to play enjoyable old school arcade and pinball games you are in the right place. If you want to spend $100 for an hour of ticket games there are family entertainment centers we can direct you to.

Now on to the user manual for full enjoyment of our arcade:

In order to even have games like Journey, Chiller, Cheyenne, Cirqus Voltaire, and the other 150 arcade and pinball games in the place our concentration is on making sure we keep certain costs low, therefore we kindly ask the following:

1. Turn On/Off the pinball machines when you are done using them

There is a switch underneath the right leg of each pinball machine. Simply press it in or flip it towards or away from you to turn your game on/off. The start button is on the left hand side of the front of the pinball machine for anything made in the years 1984 and up, and to the right of the coin mechs on anything we have below 1984.

This helps us keep or electricity costs low and help extend the life of each pinball machine, costing us less in maintenance, allowing you to enjoy different pinball machines from time to time.

Unless a pinball machine has an OUT OF ORDER sign on it, it works!

2. Tell someone at the counter if you find any problem with ANY pinball or arcade machine!

Sometimes games run out of credits, sometimes balls get stuck in games. Don't walk away from the game and be afraid to tell us of any issues! If we aren't informed we can't fix the problems!

It is very difficult to keep pinball machines working. We challenge you to find another location anywhere with our budget that has this many pinball machines in decent working/playing condition as ours.

3. Throw your trash away outside!

Please do not leave your trash in between the machines or underneath games, there is a trash receptacle to the right of our exit/entrance when leaving. Yes, we know our facility is not exactly new and spotless, but in order for patrons to be able to play the latest Stern pinball machines and classic arcade machines we concentrate more on bringing you games you want vs spending money we don't have cleaning or redoing something you may not notice.

4. Keep our restroom clean!

Yes, we know our restroom is not exactly the way your parents raised you to keep it, but it works and we do have it stocked with toilet paper and paper towels. Please clean up after yourself for the next person!

Following these simple guidelines will allow you to enjoy your visit and understand why we operate the way we do. Please enjoy yourselves, Game Galaxy is a labor of love that we are trying to keep as affordable as possible for everyone!
