10 Things to Do at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas

One of the mainstays of the Strip, Planet Hollywood Las Vegas can keep you entertained for days. Not only does it boast 11 restaurants and 5 bars, the resort has a world-class pool, Balinese spa, and access to 1.2-mile (!) shopping center. Oh, and did we mention the casino? No wonder Fodor's wrote that the resort "is designed to make ordinary people feel like stars."

If you're heading to Planet Hollywood, it can be tough to simply decide where to start. For some inspiration, we chose 10 of our favorite things to do at Planet Hollywood.


1. Find Your Game Among 1,200+ Slots

Odds are good that you're in Las Vegas to do a little gaming. Take your pick: browse the 1,200+ slots, including video poker and Wheel of Fortune progressive games? Saddle up to a table for a game of roulette, craps, or blackjack? Placing bets on your favorite team at the Playing Field (home to 55 plasma TV screens)? Or if you're into poker, perhaps you'd rather play Texas Hold 'Em at the 24-hour poker area? Whatever your preferred game, Planet Hollywood likely has it in spades.

2. Indulge in a Balinese Massage at the Spa

Take a deep breath, relax all your muscles, and enjoy every minute of whatever calming treatment you choose at Mandara Spa, which specializes in Balinese-inspired therapies. Unwind with a Balinese Massage, which is designed to release tension and increase harmony, or revitalize the skin with a Mandara Body Polish uses body butter and sugar scrubs. Facials, mani-pedis, and exotic full-body experiences are also available.

3. Grab a Post-Dinner Drink at 5 Onsite Bars

Beer lovers should head straight for the Blue Moon Bar, where they can drink exclusive Blue Moon offerings plus cocktails that incorporate its signature Belgian Wit. Cool off from the hot desert sun inside Shiver, which specializes in frozen cocktails, where customers especially like the 46-ounce Bling Bottle.

4. Dig into a Juicy T-Bone at Strip House

Along with the celebrity-centric Japanese hangout Koi, the Strip House Steakhouse is the premiere upscale dining option at Planet Hollywood. Senuously decorated in a red color palette, the steakhouse evokes the feeling of a 1930's hideout, with juicy steak and tempting seafood entrees fit for Al Capone himfself, including filet mignon, Maine lobster, and porterhouse cuts. wrote that "the spicy atmosphere and scintillating menu combine to tantalize all the senses and provide satisfaction."

5. See Gwen Stefani or the Backstreet Boys

Have you heard, everybody? Backstreet's back! Beloved 90's boy band The Backstreet Boys have a residency at Planet Hollywood's Zappos Theater through April 27, 2019. Also performing in 2019 is Gwen Stefani, whose set list touches on her impressive list of hits from both her solo career and ("Hollaback Girl," "The Sweet Escape") and with No Doubt ("Spiderwebs," "Just a Girl").


6. Surf the Flowrider at The Rooftop Pool

The Planet Hollywood Las Vegas pool is one of the top spots to see and be seen on the Strip, so it's appropriate that its called The Scene Pool Deck. The rooftop hangout features poolside cabanas, two bars, and exquisite views of the Strip. It's also the only place in Vegas with the Flowrider, where you can experience the thrill of surfing without ever leaving the desert.

7. Shop All Day at the Miracle Mile

If you're searching for a day of shopping, you've come to the right resort. Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile packs nearly 200 stores and more than 30 restaurants and snack shops into a 1.2-mile-long stretch. From Victoria's Secret to GUESS, and Cabo Wabo Cantina to Sin City Brewing Co., the Miracle Mile is jam-packed with top-brand businesses.

8. Be Amazed at Criss Angel Mindfreak

In a town full of magic shows, Planet Hollywood has what the Las Vegas Sun called the "#1 magician on the planet." The all-new show Criss Angel MINDFREAK will make you question the laws of physics, with more than 75 illusions and 20 new spectacles.


9. Do Lunch at Gordon Ramsay Burger

Restaurants don't come with any bigger name attached than Gordon Ramsay. The British celebrity chef helms this burger joint that goes above and beyond old-fashioned ketchup and mustard (in fact, the restaurant offers curry- and chipotle-infused ketchup). Try the "Foie" burger—topped with foie-gras spread—for something especially decadent, and save room for dessert: the blood-orange creamsicle and crème-brûlée shake are outstanding cappers to a great meal.

10. Tie the Knot at the Onsite Chapel

Sure, why not? At The Chapel at Planet Hollywood, you can get married at the same property where Elvis and Priscilla Presley were wed in 1967 (when the resort was known as The Aladdin). Highlighted by a spectacular glass-art altar, the chapel is the perfect spot for a romantic (and quick!) ceremony in perhaps the most-famous city in the world for speedy matrimony.
