Bunny Bolt 5K/10K

Few things feel better than running through a park ripened by spring. The annual Bunny Bolt allows Denverites to do that in City Park—all while raising funds for a good cause. Entrants in the chip-timed 5K or 10K will find a fast, flat course to run, jog, or walk on their own or with a stroller or pet dog. The top finishers in multiple categories (including best Easter costume) win awards. Find out what else is going on:

  • For adults: Participate in a free yoga class designed to warm up and lengthen muscles prior to the race, or participate in an interactive Golden Egg Hunt.

  • For kids: Little ones can stretch in their own age-appropriate yoga class, then run the 1K Rabbit Rush. And even if they don't race, they can still delight in a traditional Easter egg hunt, face painting, balloon animals, and photo ops with the Easter bunny.

  • For everyone: A veritable spring festival at the park offers food, drinks, music, and informative booths from local vendors, in addition to the awards ceremony.

The Bunny Bolt benefits Action for Amyloidosis, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization fighting to raise awareness of the disease and support those affected by it. Amyloidosis, which has no cure, occurs when an abnormal protein builds up in different organs, potentially causing organ failure. Because symptoms are so wide-ranging, it is often misdiagnosed—hence the need for public education, patient support, and medical research.
