What You'll Get
The best workouts combine a variety of techniques, which is why many athletes train by violently swinging hammers while submerged in a piranha-infested swimming pool. Try a safer fitness fusion with today’s Groupon to Barre Body. Choose between the following options:
- For $19, you get 5 classes (an $85 value).
- For $39, you get 10 classes (a $160 value).<p>
Barre Body’s seven-day schedule catalogs workouts during which students can achieve lean, sculpted physiques by participating in a challenging blend of exercise modalities. Students square up to a ballet barre to perform a series of controlled movements and interval training that bolsters abdominal muscles and chisels lean limbs from slabs of muscle marble. Barre Body’s classes take pages from sundry fitness disciplines, including Pilates and yoga. Interspersed amid the strength-building work, litheness-inducing stretches help increase students’ flexibility, range of motion, and ability to impress at cocktail parties by contorting themselves into the shape of a bent-stem martini glass.

About Barre Body
Outfitted with barres that stretch across wall-length mirrors, Barre Body looks like a ballet studio at first glance. However, its students aren't necessarily ballerinas, and they definitely aren't there to dance. The company's instructors—former gymnasts and competitive dancers—transform the ballet barre into an exercise tool with which students can stretch, tighten, and tone their bodies. The routines draw inspiration from yoga, ballet, and Pilates, combining high-intensity controlled movements at the barre with mat-based stretches and exercises with free weights. During select classes, the instructors heat the studio, which helps students finally stretch far enough to tickle their own toes.
