About Bascetti's Italian Grille
Though you won't find the actual Tower of Pisa at Bascetti's Italian Grille, you'll find the culinary equivalent made of eggplant. The Eggplant Tower of Pisa layers melted cheese and delicately spiced marinara in between slices of eggplant, arriving at tables piled high and piping hot. It's just one of a handful of house specialties on the eatery's menu that pay homage to the home-cooked meals of the Old World. Another, the Canneloni Napoletano, comes in the form of meat-stuffed pasta doused in either marinara or a made-from-scratch cream sauce. Other inventive takes on Italian classics include rosemary lamb chops or a veal porterhouse glazed in portabello and pancetta sauce. Although the house specialties shine on the menu, they're not the only items in the spotlight. Mama Bascetti's meatballs and pasta pack a comfort food punch, while the catch of the day pairs fish with a variety of sauces, sides, and grilling techniques. Crispy Lasagna Neapolitan, Fried Pasta Sheets, layered with Bolognese and Ricotta Cheese topped with mozzarella and Parmesan.
