About Brunno&Yana - Brazilian Zouk

Brazilian Zouk is a partner dance which began in Brazil during the early 1990s. Brazilian Zouk evolved from the partner dance known as the Lambada. The most characteristic feature of Brazilian Zouk is the follower's upper body movements and intricate leading and following techniques, body isolations, tilted turns and counter-balance techniques.

Brunno, originally from Brazil, is currently living in San Diego where he is an instructor, coach, choreographer, and performer with over 15 years of experience in partner dances, with specializations in Brazilian Zouk and West Coast Swing.

Yana, originally from Russia, shares the passion for partner dance with experience in Brazilian Zouk and Folk dancing. She has international experience performing and attending festivals/workshops to continually develop her diverse skillset.

They host weekly classes along with monthly socials in the San Diego area that invite individuals of all experience levels to advance their skills and enjoy the local Brazilian Zouk community.
